Sabers send three teams to super game

The Sabers had three teams advanced to the Championship games this year which were played on November 8.

The Twerps, having lost their only game in regular season play to the Moon Tigers, retaliated and slayed the Tigers, 28-8. The Mighty-Mites battled the Baldwin Warriors and walked away with another victory, 28-8. The Midgets went to war against the North Hills Chiefs, and narrowly escaped with a 6-0 win. All three teams advanced to their division Super Bowl!

On November 15 the Sabers had three teams in the South Suburban Youth Football League Super Bowls for the first time since 2004.

The Twerps overtook the Carlynton Cougars and won 22-18. The Mighty-Mites dominated and destroyed the Carlynton Cougars with a final score of 50-16. The Midgets played the Brookline Knights and suffered a heartbreaking loss with a score of 18-8.
