During the week of October 26 Room 4 of Overbrook's Head Start program focused on how to stay safe, stranger danger, and fire safety were two of the topics discussed. One of the parents, a firefighter, was asked to come in and talk to the children about fire safety. He brought the fire truck and another firefighter with him and other classrooms were invited to participate. The two Mount Oliver firefighters taught the children what do in a fire and the importance of fire safety. The children enjoyed leaning how to stay safe during a fire.
