Brashear Assoc. elects nine board members
At its annual meeting on October 29, the adult membership of The Brashear Association elected nine directors who will serve three-year terms on the South Pittsburgh agency's Board of Directors.
Seven current board members were re-elected. They include: The Reverend Jeff Eddings, a pastor at the Hot Metal Bridge Faith Community; Nancy Eshelman, co-owner of the Morning Glory Bed and Breakfast and the current president of the South Side Chamber of Commerce; Janice Goliwas of Time Plus Payroll; and Maureen Hogan, the deputy director of Pittsburgh Partnership for Neighborhood Development.
Also re-elected were: Juli Milan, a South Side resident; Lee Phillips, a co-owner of Bradley Michaels Furniture Direct; and Kay Stevenson, the owner of Teeter Totter, Incorporated, a child care center in Allentown. All returning board members will serve from 2009 through 2012.
Two new directors were elected. The Honorable Bruce Kraus, the City Council representative from District Three, and Jen Zumoff, a sales representative for Salix Pharmaceutical, were chosen. The two new directors will also serve from 2009 to 2012.
The association‘s membership voted to amend its bylaws at the meeting to permit directors to serve three consecutive terms for a total of nine years of service. In the past, directors were limited to two consecutive terms.
