MOW rewarded for excellence

The Arlington Meals on Wheels program received an Excellence in Food Protection award from the Allegheny County Health Department. Accepting the award for the Arlington MoW were Norm Hochendoner, Nancy Walters, Marilyn Adams, Sue Collins and Teresa Goodall.

The Arlington Meals on Wheels program has received an award for Excellence in Food Protection by the Allegheny County Health Department.

This award, given annually by the Health Department, honors food service providers selected for their exceptional efforts in food safety, sanitation and exhibiting unwavering commitment to providing safe and wholesome food. Several school cafeterias and local businesses were also honored at an awards banquet held at the Monterrey Bay Fish Grotto on Mount Washington.

The banquet was attended by the Program Manager Marilyn Adams, Site Coordinator Nancy Walters, Cook Susan Collins, Meals on Wheels Volunteer Board President Teresa Goodall and Meals on Wheels Volunteer Board Treasurer Norm Hochendoner. Meals on Wheels provides home delivered meals to needy and homebound residents of Arlington, South Side Slopes, Bon Air, Knoxville and Mount Oliver Borough.
