Learn to make a rain barrel at workshop in South Side

October 6, 2009

Pennsylvania Resources Council will present another Rain Barrel/Watershed Workshop on October 27 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the CCI Center in South Side.

Those who attend the workshop you will learn how to harvest rainwater from their roof, store it and use it in their landscape.

PRC's Watershed Awareness/Rain Barrel Workshop will raise awareness of watershed issues, demonstrate how to assemble and install a retrofitted 55-gallon drum/rain barrel, and offer other rainwater harvesting options. Participants will receive the necessary hardware (not the barrel) to assemble and install a rain barrel for rainwater harvesting and on-site usage.

Cost of the workshop is $30 a person or $40 for a couple. For information and/or to register contact Nancy at 412-431-4449 x247 or nancym@ ccicenter.org
