Shayna R. Lubawski and Matthew G. Sokol were united in marriage during an outdoor ceremony Sept. 5 at Lingrow Farm, Leechburg, PA., with Dennis Inserra officiating.
Parents of the couple are John and Sandra Lubawski, and Guy and Marguerette Sokol, all of the South Side Slopes. The bride's grandparents are William and Roberta Smith of Mount Oliver; Robert and Jean Stupak of the South Side are grandparents of the groom.
Honor attendants included the bride's sister, Sherlynn Lubawski, and friend, Carrie Fahrner, Maids of Honor. The groom's brother and cousin, Andrew Sokol and Luke Stupak, were Best Men.
For her bridesmaids, Shayna chose her sisters-in-law, Holly and Joy Lubawski; friends Dianne Oliver and Barbara Grabowski, and four legged friends Puzzle and Jigsaw. Groomsmen included the bride's brothers, Jessy, Jared and John Lubawski; Chad Cook, Andrew Meyer and Stanley Hines-McGee, Matt's friends, and Foster, "Das Uber Beast."
The newlyweds met while both were attending Schenley High School. Shayna has since earned a Bachelor of Science degree in social work at California University of Pennsylvania. She is currently completing work on her MSW at Cal, and is a service coordinator mentor at Family Services of Western Pennsylvania.
Matt completed his draftsman studies at Pittsburgh Technical Institute and is a mechanical draftsmen team leader at Schroeder Industries.
The newlyweds are currently living on the South Side Slopes.
