Looking for ways to save money and eat well?
Come to the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Carrick on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 9:30 a.m. to noon for a program on canning and preserving food presented by the Penn State Extension of Allegheny County.
Whether just beginning or are an experienced preserver this program will have something for you. Learn how to preserve food safely and correctly as a beginner or update your methods as an experienced preserver.
Topics include learning about canning, freezing and drying methods for preserving food. There is a registration fee of $8 which may be paid on the day of the program and includes preserving materials.
The Blue Book Guide for Preserving will also be on sale for $10 but it is optional.
