Those who have problems with any of the many forms of arthritis are eligible to attend the Arthritis Exercise Program offered by The Hilltop Health Ministries Consortium Parish Nurse Program.

The exercises are approved and recommended by the Arthritis Foundation, and involve education, relaxation, increasing flexibility, endurance and strength. A 10-week session will begin on Tuesday September 1 and will meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. The class lasts 1-1½ hours and includes education, range of motion, strengthening, endurance, and relaxation.

Classes take place at Trinity Lutheran Church, 601 Brownsville Rd in Mt. Oliver. There is a $15 charge for the 10 week class (20 sessions).

It is recommended that participants receive approval from their physician before beginning the classes. Call Debbie Koch RN, parish nurse at 412-381-9215 to complete registration for the class or for more information.
