Schwartz Market to carry more local, natural foods

— Rejuvenation event on August 1—

Schwartz Market, a tradition neighborhood grocery store on 1317 E. Carson Street in South Side, is introducing local and natural foods throughout the store in an "extravaganza rejuvenation event" on Saturday, Aug. 1.

During the event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sweetwater Cooking School will use the natural and local foods now available at the store in cooking demonstrations. In addition, Building New Hope, a Pittsburgh-based non-profit organization, will offer samples of its organizally certified (OCIA), shade-grown coffee from El Porvenir, a worker owned farming cooperative in Nicaragua. Schwartz's will also be carrying the organic coffee.

All are welcome to come and join in the "extravaganza" on August 1. Free parking is available in the Schwartz Market parking lot, behind the store on Bingham Street.
