County to hold public hearing on CYF Needs-Based Plan

The Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS) and Juvenile Court will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 29 at 1 p.m. in the Gold Room, Fourth Floor, County Courthouse, 436 Grant Street, to obtain comments on the drafts of the 2010-2011 CYF Needs-Based Plan and Budget, and the Integrated Children's Services Plan that will be presented to the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare.

Copies of the Needs-Based Plan and Budget are available at the Allegheny County Juvenile Court, 550 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 and at the Human Services Building, One Smithfield Street, First Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. It can also be accessed on the DHS web site, www.alleghenycounty.us/dhs.

Persons wishing to provide comments on either plan are asked to call 412-350-5225 (TTY 412-350-5205) by July 24 to be placed on the agenda. Testimony presented at the hearing, or other comments regarding the plans, should be submitted in writing at the hearing site, or delivered for receipt no later than July 31, to Terry Lane, Department of Human Services, Executive Office, One Smithfield St., Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
