Arlington MoW finalist for award

June 23, 2009

Sixteen finalists were named for Allegheny County's 18th annual Excellence in Food Protection Awards that recognize facilities that go beyond minimum code requirements and undertake extraordinary efforts in food safety and sanitation.

The awards are given by the County Food Advisory Board, a group of industry representatives that work with the Health Department to promote food safety.

The 16 establishments will be visited and evaluated by an independent panel of judges from the Food Advisory Board, which will select and announce the winners at an awards luncheon in September during National Food Safety Education Month.

Arlington Meals on Wheels was named as a finalist.
