Chefs at Prince of Peace prepare dinner

June 2, 2009

On Sunday June 14, the "chefs" at Prince of Peace, Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, will prepare a tasty dinner at the Parish Center from 3-6 p.m.

The menu will include: Barbequed chicken breast, corn on the cob and potato salad. Dinner cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

At the same time, they are sponsoring a Bundle Sunday Project. Volunteers will accept donations of gently used clothing, furniture and household goods which are clean and in good condition. This can be an opportunity to "downsize" the contents of closets, attics or basements.

Textbooks, magazines, sewing machines, appliances, carpeting, exercise equipment or medical items cannot be accepted.

Donated items will be taken to the SVDP resale stores in order to boost the inventory of the new store in Castle Shannon on Route 88.
