Hartley a ‘Super Star' for work at COTRAIC

Diane Hartley, a teacher at the Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center, Overbrook Head Start, was recently honored as a "Super Star of Inclusion."

The Pittsburgh/Allegheny local Interagency Coordination Council (LICC) presents the "Super Star of Inclusion" award for Early Intervention. The LICC is a group of parents, professional and community members that work to improve the delivery of early intervention services for young children with developmental delays and disabilities.

This year, the Inclusion Support Committee, which is responsible for promoting inclusive environments and best practices in the early intervention service deli very system, chose to reward the hard work of their early care and education colleagues.

Nomination forms were sent out to parents and early intervention providers and they were asked to identify early care and education providers that do an exceptional job including children with developmental delays and disabilities into the mainstream classroom.

Ms. Hartley was presented with the award at the annual PAEYC Celebration Dinner on April 22 at the Rodel Synagogue on Fifth Avenue in Oakland.
