Learn more about how to understand health care

April 28, 2009

UPMC and Baldwin EMS welcome the public at “Understanding Your Health Insurance: Health Care Options are Changing…Are You Ready?,” a free education program.

The program will be held twice: on Wednesday, May 6, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Lafferty Resource Center, 330 Joseph St. in Baldwin and on Thursday, May 7, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Leland Resource Center, 5230 Wolfe Dr., also in Baldwin.

A social worker from the UPMC Care Management Department will be the featured speaker. Participants will learn more about health insurance and the resources that are available to them and their families.

The program is a part of “W.E. Care,” a series of free health education programs presented in partnership by Baldwin EMS, UPMC, and LifeSpan Resource Centers. The “W.E.” in “W.E. Care” stands for “Wellness before Emergencies.”

Parking is free. Advance registration is required by Monday, May 4.

To register or to learn more about this program, call Baldwin EMS at 412-884-0666.
