April 21, 2009

Fallen Officer Memorial T-shirts are now available online at www.PittsburghFallenHeroes.com .

The Memorial T-Shirts were designed by Detective Patrick Moffatt and the rendering was approved by Chief Nate Harper for replication. Detectives Pat Moffatt, Steve Hitchings, Tom Leheny and Sgt. Bill Haines began the enormous task of organizing the printing effort and distribution of shirts to Pittsburgh Police officers.

The shirts were worn with pride by the officers and the general public became very interested in where they could purchase one. The Memorial T-shirt Team contacted Larry Ennis of Custom Printing Graphics who offered his time and printing to the effort.

To-date there has been 12,000 Memorial T-shirts printed and distributed to various venues in the city.

The website was developed by Higher Images, Inc. in cooperation with Custom Printed Graphics and Riverset Credit Union. The website will allow the general public to purchase the Memorial T-shirts online with credit card via PayPal. The proceeds from the purchased T-shirts will go directly from the Riverset Credit Union into the Pittsburgh Fallen Heroes Fund at the Pittsburgh Police Federal Credit Union with oversight by the Fraternal Order of Police.

The cost of the Adult Memorial T-shirts is as follows: S – XL, $20; XXL, $22; and, XXXL, $24. Child sized Memorial T-shirts are not yet available. UPS Shipping is not included in this price.

Memorial T-shirts are a custom among law enforcement. Memorial T-shirts are printed in efforts to raise funds to support the families of any fallen officer.
