The We Remember Elvis Fan Club will hold its 28th Annual Spring Festival on April 24-25 at the Ramada Inn, Conference Center of Greentree (former Holiday Inn), 401 Holiday Drive, Greentree.
Joe Moscheo, member of the Imperials and author of the book “The Gospel Side of Elvis” will the special guest. Mr. Moscheo will speak on Friday, April 24 at 4 p.m. and on Saturday, April 25 at 11:30 a.m. and after the auction, about 2:30 p.m.
Doors will open on Friday, April 24 at 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday times are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tickets will be on sale at the door for $5 per person, children under 12 are free.
The festival will end on Saturday evening with a dinner party, Randy Galioto's “Tribute to the King” show and dance. Reservations are required for the dinner party, cost is $47 per person. For more information about this event, call the fan club president, Priscilla Parker, at 412-561-7522.
At the festival there will be Elvis memorabilia from 1956 to present day for sale, some coming from private collections. A charity auction of Elvis memorabilia will be held on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday at 1 p.m.
This year the beneficiary to receive the net profit from ticket sales and the proceeds from the auctions will be the Elvis Aaron Presley Visiting Fellowship at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital's Burn/Trauma Unit and the West Penn Burn Center's Summer Camp to enable pediatric patients to enjoy camp free of charge. They will also collect canned and non-perishable food items for a local food bank.
