Jack Erdie, award winning singer and song writer, will be at The Coffee House at the South Side Presbyterian Church on Friday, April 3 from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Mr. Erdie is known locally with his 2005 CD “Pumpkin” chosen as one of WYEP's Top Ten Local Picks of the year. Tampa Blue in his review in the Folk & Acoustic Music Exchange, wrote that “Jack Erdie stands apart” from the crowd of singer-songwriters, “able to transcend the merely personal and stand apart in place of common experience that will make his songs relevant and meaningful to most listeners.”
The Pittsburgh Darfur Emergency Coalition will also have postcards available for people to sign as part of a national effort to save the people of Darfur and return them to their homeland in peace.
The Coffee House at the South Side Presbyterian Chuch is held each month at the corner of South 20th and Sarah streets in South Side. It includes candlelight conversation, creative performers, discussions of social issues and refreshments with the suggested donation of $4. For more information, call 412-431-0118.
