Pittsburgh's Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.
Zone case 042/09 on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 9:00 a.m ., is the appeal of Cityzens, Joe Patrick, applicant, of 221 Shiloh Street in the 19th Ward, to request use of the 3-story structure as 3 dwelling units, one on the 2nd floor and one on the 3rd floor with a vacant store front (tenant to apply for occupancy permit).
Zone case 044/09 on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 9:20 a.m ., is the appeal of The Salvation Army, owners of 811 East Carson Street in the 17th Ward, to request an 18,108 sq. ft. 2-story extension to existing 3-story structure (809 East Carson) with 1st floor as retail sales and services (general) and 2nd floor as multi-suite residential (general) with 16 sleeping rooms and 32 beds and 35 parking stalls offsite (700 Bingham Street).
Zone case 048/09 on Thursday, March 26 at 9:20 a.m ., is the appeal of Edward Tezak, owner of 2717 Jane Street in the 16th Ward, for a 8.5 ft. x 19 ft. one-car parking pad a the rear of existing 2-story, 2 family dwelling.
Zone case 051/09 on Thursday, March 26 at 9:50 a.m ., is the appeal of Michael J. Booritch, owner of 134 S. 11th Street in the 17th Ward, for use of 12 ft. x 10 ft. and 22 ft. x 5 ft. deck on the westerly and northeasterly side of existing 2-story single family dwelling.
Zone case 053/09 on Thursday, April 2 at 9:00 a.m ., is the appeal of Carol A. Pulford, owner of 2337 Wrights Way in the 16th Ward, for an enclosed 6 ft. x 10.5 ft. deck on the rear of existing 2-story single family dwelling.
Zone case 054/09 on Thursday, April 2 at 9:20 a.m ., is the appeal of David and Judith Malakoff, owners of 1511 St. Patrick Street in the 17th Ward, for continued use of 4-story 2-family dwelling.
Zone case 059/09 on Thursday, April 2 at 10:10 a.m ., is the appeal of the Soffer Organization, owner of 2705 S. Water Street in the 17th Ward, for three 3.66 ft. x. 4 ft. medallion business ID logo signs on second floor level of tower element, and one 1 ft. x 8.5 ft. business ID sign on south elevation of existing 2-story structure (Hofbrauhaus).
Plans are on file for these cases and may be inspected up to the date of the hearing. Anyone who wishes to be heard must appear in person. The board does not accept letters or petitions.
