March programs at the Carrick Branch Library

The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Carrick welcomes families to visit the library this month for programs for kids of all ages.

Family Craft Time is on Saturday, March 7 from noon-2 p.m. Drop in to make a St. Patrick's Day craft.

Toddler Play Day takes place on the first Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. on March 7. Toddlers ages 1-3 with their parents can come to hear stories, songs and engage in games and activities specifically for toddlers. Younger children are welcome. Registration is required for this program.

Our next American Girl party will be held on Wednesday, March 11 from 4-5 p.m. This month they will be celebrating the American Girl Kaya with crafts and activities. Students in grades K-5 are welcome to register for this program.

School-age children are can come for a fun after school program on March 18, 4-5 p.m., with activities based on the popular series “The Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” Kids in grades K-5 will make their own diary.

A special storytime for kids of all ages will be held at 11:15 a.m. on March 19 in honor of “Won't You Be My Neighbor Day.” Join neighbors for stories, songs and more.

Children of all ages are asked to give their stuffed animals a night out at the library's “Stuffed Animal Sleepover.” Children can drop off their stuffed animals on March 20 from 10-3:30 p.m. The animals will spend the night at the library. Library staff will be on hand to document the night's festivities and the children can pick up their animals at a storytime at 10:30 a.m. on March 21.
