District 4 field grows

Richard Weaver, 66, of Brookline has announced he will enter the Democratic Primary race for Pittsburgh City Council District 4. He joins four previously announced candidates for the seat currently held by Councilman Jim Motznik who has decided to run for District Judge.

Mr. Weaver is employed as a demolition inspector in the Bureau of Building Inspection for the City of Pittsburgh. He has also worked as a code enforcement inspector and in the Zoning Department of City Planning.

Mr. Weaver plans to use his knowledge and experience to work with residents and community groups in District 4 to improve on public safety, recreation and renewing business districts.

The four other candidates who have already announced to run for the District 4 seat are: Tony Mosesso of Bon Air; Natalia Rudiak of Carrick; Anthony Coghill of Beechview and Patrick Reilly of Brookline.
