BOROUGH OF MT. OLIVER

PROPOSED ORDINANCE 912

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF MT. Oliver, COUNTY OF ALLEGHENY, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF MT. Oliver, AND IN PARTICULAR CHAPTER 219, ARTICLE VIII (OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE SUBDIVISION AND LAND DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE)

WHEREAS, THE PURPOSE OF THIS ORDINANCE IS TO PROVIDE FOR THE AMENDMENT OF ARTICLE VIII OF CHAPTER 219 OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF MT. Oliver TO MORE FULLY DEFINE SPECIFICATIONS FOR DRIVEWAYS AND OFF-STREET PARKING AREAS.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MT. Oliver, AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED THAT SECTION 219-21.P.(2) OF CHAPTER 219, ARTICLE VIII OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF MT. Oliver SHALL BE AMENDED TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

"THE BASE FOR THE DRIVEWAY AND/OR PARKING SHALL CONSIST OF A MINIMUM OF ONE FOUR (4)-INCH LAYER OF PENN DOT APPROVED 2A SLAG OR LIMESTONE. THE LAYER IS TO BE THOROUGHLY COMPACTED WITH AN APPROVED TRENCH ROLLER OR MECHANICAL COMPACTOR."
