Pittsburgh's Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.
Zone Case 001/09 on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 at 8:50 a.m. is the appeal of Richard Svitek, owner of 1925 Wharton Street in the 17th Ward, for a 12.8 ft. x 14 ft. roof deck off of the 2nd and ½ story of an existing 2½ story single family dwelling. The property is currently zoned R1A-VH.
Zone Case 002/09 on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. is the appeal of Michael F. Healey, owner of 2110 Carey Way in the 17th Ward, for a 20 ft. x 14 ft. one-story detached garage at 2109 Sarah Street to the rear of existing two-story single family dwelling facing 2110 Carey Way. The property is currently zoned R1A-VH.
Zone Case 006/09 on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 at 9:40 a.m. is the appeal of Bart Friedman and Robin Bouchat, owners of 2720 Larkins Way in the 16th Ward, for a three story two-family dwelling with rooftop deck and two integral garages. The property is currently zoned R2-VH.
Zone case 010/09 on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009 at 9:10 a.m. is the appeal of Aaron Krocke and Carla Cirringione, owners of 60 Harwood Street, to build a 23' x 39' two-car detached garage and storage space at rear of existing single family dwelling.
Zone case 012/09 on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009 at 9:30 a.m ., is the appeal of Donald Malsch, owner of 2914 Stromberg Street, to protest the revocation of a building permit.
Plans are on file for these cases and may be inspected up to the date of the hearing. Anyone who wishes to be heard must appear in person. The board does not accept letters or petitions.
