Applications from high schools are now being accepted for entry into the second annual Allegheny County African American Quiz Bowl to be held Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Northside Urban Pathways Charter School at 914 Penn Ave.
The event will be a quick-action knowledge competition with questions focusing on African Americans' influence on history, science, literature, music, art, and more.
The two competing schools that make it to the final round will have questions moderated by Channel 4 Action News anchor, Andrew Stockey.
