South Side Sabers begin 2008 season
Sabers football season is already under way and in full swing this year.
Teams began practice at the end of July and now have three away games under their belts. Their first home game of the season is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20 at Quarry Field.
September 20 Game Times:
Twerps (8 & under) 9:30 a.m.
Termites (9 & under) 11:00 a.m.
Mini Mites (10 & under) 1:00 p.m.
Mighty Mites (11 & under) 3:00 p.m.
Midgets (13 & under) 5:00 p.m.
SSSYFO will host JV games every Monday night through October at Quarry Field. The concession stand will be open for the games.
Over the last few seasons, they've seen many improvements in and around the field. These include a fence, a new sprinkler system, concession stand addition and alarm system.
