Mural project on Hilltop

August 12, 2008

Teens 13-18 years old that have an interest in art are welcome to bring a sample of their work to the Knoxville Library, 400 Brownsville Road, on Saturday, Aug. 23 from 10-11 a.m. where professional artist Maria DeSimone-Prascak of Maria's Ideas will guide them through the process of completing a mural in panels.

Part of the Hilltop Economic Development Council's on-going revitalization efforts, the completed mural will be displayed locally in a vacant store front.

Participants will have to commit to at least two hours per week for one month. All levels of artistic talent are encouraged to participate. The work will be completed in the library's studio on the lower level. Participants may work on the project at their leisure during the library's regular operating hours.

For more details or to sign up call 412-381-6543 or visit the library.
