Coming up in August at the Carrick Library

The Carrick Branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh is planning a calendar of events for the rest of August. Those activities include:

KinderPrep, for children entering Kindergarten Fall 2008, will be held on Tuesdays, August 12, 19 and 26 at 11 a.m.

Toddler Time will be held on Tuesday August 12, 19 and 26 at 1 p.m. Toddler Time is for children 12 months to 36 months with an adult.

“Catch the Reading Bug” Summer Reading Club program is on Wednesday August 13 at 1 p.m. for grades K-5. Come in for stories and activities about bugs.

“Storytime for Everyone” is on Thursday August 14, 21 and 28 at 11:15 a.m. for children up to six years old.

The “Catch the Reading Bug” End of Summer Reading Party will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16 at 1 p.m. Come in to hear tales about Anansi the Spider. Enjoy refreshments and crafts as well.

“Get Your Game On” continues this month for teens. Play Guitar Hero and PS2 on Tuesday August 12th at 5 p.m. Play Wii games on Thursdays August 14 and 28 at 5 p.m.

Get involved at the library by joining their Teen Advisory Group meeting on August 30 at 12 p.m. Share great ideas for upcoming Teen events! Pizza and refreshments will be served.
