Pittsburgh City Council in Our Neighborhoods, the traveling meetings of Pittsburgh City Council, will make several stops involving South Pittsburgh Council Districts in the next several weeks.

This week, the District 3 meeting will take place at the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers Building, 10 South 19th Street, on Thursday, June 26, from 6-8 p.m. The PFT Building is air conditioned and has ample parking for those attending. For more information on this meeting, call Councilman Bruce A. Kraus' Office at 412-255-2130.

The Pittsburgh City Council in Our Neighborhoods meeting for District 4 will take place on July 31 at Brashear High School, 590 Crane Ave. For more information contact Council Jim Motznik's office at 412-255-2131.

The meetings replace the regularly scheduled council meeting for those days and all council members are expected to attend. The meetings are being held in the neighborhoods to gain input for the upcoming Capital Budget discussion which will take place in council in late July and early August.

Council Finance Director Bill Urbanic and Director of City Planning Noor Ismail are expected to attend the meetings also. This is an opportunity for residents of the council districts to express their opinions, wants and requests for the upcoming Capital Budget.
