We have to pick up the slack
I've been reading The Reporter—the newspaper or on the web— for about a month. I like it. It is loaded with information about the neighborhoods I've been working with in my capacities with Citizens Against Litter and the Clean Pittsburgh Commission. All positive stuff that informs and inspires.
I've touched in some way every community mentioned on your masthead. I am blown away (I wish that could happen to litter) with the enthusiasm of so many residents to make their neighborhoods better/cleaner and improve the quality of life.
What I see in the people I meet/talk to and what I read in the South Pittsburgh Reporter is what I believe: People who care must pick up the slack for people who don't.
