Carrick Meals on Wheels has been serving for 30 years

Carrick Meals on Wheels has prepared meals at the Concord Presbyterian Church and delivered them to seniors in the Carrick and Baldwin areas for the last 30 years.

Betty Walz and Jean Connelly collected money from the community, churches, businesses and friends to start the kitchen in April 1978. June Marquette and Kathy Roslonski have volunteered for 30 years, and there are several who have been with the group for 25 years.

During these years help has come from the Lutheran Service Society, Carrick businesses, baked goods from the churches, fruit baskets from the Hilltop Lions, donations from organizations, the Girl Scouts holiday favors, Senator Jay Costa, and the volunteers who have prepared and delivered the meals.

Anyone who would like to volunteer should call 412-881-0745.
