Pittsburgh Concord K-5 has been having a great school year. Some of their recent accomplishments have included:
The Think-A-Thon team took second place for their skit “The Ghosts of Mount Everest Encounter Pollution.” They also won a red ribbon for their art project.
One hundred percent of Grade 5 students were present for the first day of the PSSA test.
A successful book bingo was held on February 22, 2008 by the Concord PTO. More than 100 people were winners. The PTO would like to thank the school staff, parents, friends of the school, and community businesses for the event a success.
All Grade 5 students performed at Carnegie Music hall on March 13, 2008. They played their recorders under the direction of music teacher David Foley.
On April 21 at 6:30 p.m. there will be a PTO meeting and Art Fair at the school. Art teacher Judy Flaherty will co-ordinate the event which will display student art work.
Also, Kindergarten registration will begin on April 15, 2008. Your child must be 5 years old by September 1, 2008. The orientation to meet the school Principal and Counselor will be held June 2, 2008 in the school auditorium from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
