SCORE workshop on small business basics

SCORE Pittsburgh will offer a “Small Business Basics” workshop on Saturday, Jan. 12 at their new location, DeVry University, second floor, 210 Sixth Avenue, Downtown. (Corner of Liberty and Sixth avenues. Building entrance is directly across the street from the Wood Street Trolley Station.)

The workshop, presented by working professionals, helps new businesses get off to the right start by studying the legal requirements of starting a business, and covering key topics that will impact the success or failure of the business. Subjects covered include business plan development, marketing, record keeping, taxes, and financing including how to obtain small business loans.

Registration and continental breakfast will commence at 8:30 a.m. The workshop will begin at 9 a.m. and finish at 1 p.m. Convenient discounted parking is available in the building garage below street level.
