Health Ministries looking for volunteers, board members

Those who are interested in the wholistic health of their community, are being invited to serve as a volunteer in one or more of the programs of, and/or serve on the board, of the Hilltop Health Ministries Consortium.

Advisory Board members are responsible for ensuring effective and fiscally sounds programs and operations. They do this by providing leadership, advice, and direction to staff and volunteers of the organization. Duties include to:

Prepare for each Advisory Board meeting by reading material distributed prior to meeting;

Attend all regular (bi-monthly) and special Advisory Board meetings and participate in all proceedings;

Serve on at least one committee and actively participate in relevant meetings; and,

Maintain knowledge of current programs and staff of organization.#M:(Health Ministries)##

Hilltop Health Ministries Consortium, a partnership of congregations and organizations of the South Pittsburgh hill top exists to serve the wholistic health needs of the home-centered elderly, young teen girls, and residents of the communities of Allentown, Knoxville, Mount Oliver, Arlington, Beltzhoover and Bon-Air. Their mission: People of faith promoting health of body, mind and spirit, is accomplished through their programs of Elder Outreach, Teen Girl Squad and Parish Nursing.
