Local residents added to ACS board
The Greater Pittsburgh Unit of the American Cancer Society has elected new board members for 2007-2008.
The following board members from South Pittsburgh were elected at the American Cancer Society's Board of Directors meeting held on June 26, 2007:
Christopher J. Kail from South Side is director of marketing with Legend Financial Advisors, Inc. He is a graduate of Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies and a Master's Degree in corporate communications.
Mr. Kail has served for three years on the American Cancer Society Larry Richert Celebrity Golf Classic Committee, the annual golf fundraising event of the American Cancer Society.
Michelle Parolini from Mount Washington is an associate broker with Commercial Real Estate. She received a BSBA in Marketing at the University of Pittsburgh College of Business Administration, and is licensed with the Pennsylvania State Real Estate Commission.
Ms. Parolini was an advocacy volunteer for the American Cancer Society's Wall of Hope in June, 2006 and is currently involved with the American Cancer Society South Hills Relay For Life.

The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service.
