‘Elvis' and ‘Martin' entertain Mount Oliver seniors

October 2, 2007

On Thursday, Sept. 20 the Mount Oliver Recreation Association sponsored an afternoon with the Blond Elvis of Casne World for seniors of the borough.

Seniors enjoyed several hours of entertainment and lunch at no charge. The show included not only the Blond Elvis, but also the music of Bobby Morelli as Dean Martin.

A surprise guest was State Representative Harry Readshaw, who was presented with a plaque by Jean Miller, recreation association president, acknowledging a recent $5,000 grant to the association. The grant will allow the association to continue with the programs benefiting the seniors and children of Mount Oliver Borough.

Also attending the event were Michele Balcer, assistant to Senator Jay Costa, and retired Magisterial District Judge Ann Scharding.
