Joseph and Judy Hackel of Allentown announce the engagement of their daughter Julia Hackel to Joshua Wiechmann, the son of Edward and Terry Wiechmann of Wilkinsburg.

Julia is a 2002 graduate of Carrick High School and a senior nursing student at Carlow University. Joshua is a 2001 graduate of Trinity Christian School and currently works for Advance Auto Parts.

A 2009 wedding is being planned.
