Rotary has opportunity for young professional in exchange program

January 16, 2007

An outstanding travel and cultural exchange opportunity for young professionals is now available through Rotary's Group Study Exchange Program. This year Rotary in greater Pittsburgh will be sending a team of four young professionals and a Rotary team leader to Lagos, Nigeria, from April 22 to May 20, 2007.

Candidates are young professionals who are age 25-40 working in their career field (not students).

All expenses will be paid by Rotary. Deadline for application is January 30.

While in Lagos, the members of the team will be hosted in the homes of Rotarians, be escorted to different venues of interest in Nigeria, and spend at least four days working with professionals in the same career fields in a vocational exchange.

Past GSE exchange team members have said that this is one of the highlights of their young careers and they have established friendships and contacts that will last a lifetime.

More information and applications can be obtained through Rotary GSE team leader Ed Grimes of the Greentree Rotary Club by calling 412-921-1325 or contacting Tom Nunnally, GSE coordinator, at 412-241-1822.
