Girl Scouts will raise funds for holiday benefit

September 26, 2006

Girl Scouts from Troops 344 and 357 will be at the Carrick Foodland on Saturday, Sept. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 1 collecting donations for the Carrick community Halloween Parade scheduled for October 28.

The girls will also hand out flyers about their current project. The troops hope to win first prize for their float in this year's parade, from which they will collect donations and non-perishable food items, so they can use the prize money for Thanksgiving meal boxes for the 60 families that use the Carrick Food Bank.

For more information, stop by Foodland and pick up a flyer.
