For the fifth year, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra will offer a chance to hear this world-class orchestra at no cost as part of RADical Days.
This free interactive family concert will be on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. at Heinz Hall and is sponsored by the Allegheny Regional Asset District to say thank you to the public for its support.
The performance will feature resident conductor Daniel Meyer conducting the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra with soprano Jessica George and the Pittsburgh Symphony's feline ambassador, Fiddlesticks. This family concert will introduce young audience members to the many instruments of the orchestra through Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4 and engage them in singing The Sound of Music and conducting the favorite Sousa march Washington Post.
Concert tickets are free to the public and can be obtained by calling 412-392-4900 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
