Library getting Medieval with programing
Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Lovers of stories, computer games, and crafts! Sign up for the Knoxville library's Medieval cybercamp, and ye can try thy mettle ‘gainst all three! Registration required. The program will take place Wednesdays, July 13, 20, and 27 from 3-4:30 p.m. for kids going into 4-6 grades.
Preschool storytime continues on Thursdays at 12:30 PM for kids ages 3-6. Come and hear stories, songs, rhymes, and make a craft.
Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Calling all Dragon-lovers, Dreamers, Daring Lads and Damsels of all ages. Thy bravery will be sorely tested by Stories and Crafts galore in this year's Summer Reading Club. Monday's July 11 and 25 families of all ages are welcome to attend.
Kids ages 8 and older may test their medieval gaming knowledge in a night filled with fun for all ages on Wednesday, July 27 at 5 p.m. Registration is required.
Anyone thinking about learning how to babysit to earn money can come to the library Monday, Aug. 8 and Wednesday, Aug. 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. for Babysitting Basics. The program, presented by Magee-Women's Hospital, offers practical tips for 10-14 year olds on getting started with babysitting, working with babies and children and minor home emergency situations.
Registration is required for Babysitting Basics. Attendance is required for both days in order to receive a completion certificate.
