New year brings changes to PACE ID requirements
Effective January 1, PACE and PACENET will no longer require age, residence and income documentation to be included with an application submitted to the program. Seniors will only need to certify that they have reported complete and accurate information on their applications.
The state will verify eligibility through information exchanges with various agencies, including Social Security, the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue and the Pennsylvania State Employees Retirement System.
The minimum age to qualify is 65. The income limit for PACE is $14,500 for a single person and $17,700 for a married couple; for PACENET, it is $23,500 for singles and $31,500 for couples.
The Pennsylvania Lottery funds both programs.
