Holiday ethnic food sale

Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church will hold its annual Christmas Food Sale on Saturday, Dec. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 19 from noon to 3 p.m.

Available will be holubky (stuffed cabbage), halusky (cabbage with noodles), homemade soup, pyrohy, baked goods, sweetrolls in nut, poppyseed, apricot and prune, and other traditional foods. Foods are available to eat in or take out. The “Russian Winter Market” will also be open with a wide variety of handmade ethnic gifts, icons and holiday items.

Call 412-431-1090 to pre-order food or for more information. The church is at 1720 Jane Street, South Side. All proceeds benefit Saint John's parish.
